In the context of teaching and learning, constructive tools are devices or approaches that make it easier for knowledge and understanding to be constructed. It plays a great role in the field of learning and teaching in such a way that it promotes :
1. Critical Thinking: Using constructive tools frequently calls on students to use critical thinking, information analysis, and decision-making skills. This aids in the development of higher-order cognitive abilities necessary for solving problems.
2. Creativity: Students are able to convey their ideas in novel ways when they use constructive tools, which frequently foster creativity and innovation. This creates a stimulating and upbeat learning atmosphere.
Co-constructive tools which supports the construction of knowledge through shared understanding. Using ICT as co constructive tools have many impacts like it promotes collaborative learning environment, empower individual and teams to work together effectively and achieve greater success. It enhance co-editing like it allows multiple people to collaborate on the same documents or projects simultaneously . Example : we have a group project like making lesson plan and we want to collaborate with our group members. So we create a Google Docs document and share it with them. Each of us can open the document and start editing simultaneously. we'll be able to see each other's changes in real-time and work together on the project.
And now coming to situating tools, it helps to situate learners in the environment to experience context and happenings.
Similarly , Situating tools in teaching and learning can have a great impact. By using tools that are relevant and relatable to students' real-life experiences, we can make learning more engaging and meaningful. Situating tools can include real-world examples, hands-on activities, technology, and interactive resources. These tools help students connect what they're learning to the world around them, making concepts easier to understand and remember. It also promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity.
